The Main Quad — the sandstone heart of Stanford, a quadrangle of arcaded ranges built on Leland Stanford's old horse farm.
This is the Quad built as a small three-dimensional model and drawn entirely as line-work: low one-story inner ranges and taller outer ones under red mission-tile hipped roofs, the continuous round-arch arcades that ring the court, and Memorial Church closing the axis to the south with its gable and rose window. There is no photograph here and no 3D engine — every roof, arch, and window is real geometry in plan-space meters, projected by hand, the same displace-then-project approach this garden uses for the tree and the globe. The proportions were measured from photographs of the real Quad: the long east-west court, the arcade rhythm, the two-tier massing, the taller corner pavilions.
